As Nokia continues to suffer the effect of the transition of its smartphone portfolio to Windows Phone, the company is looking for ways to cut costs until the huge investments start paying off. The cheaper labor cost in Asia should help the Finns reduce their production costs and, hopefully, go back in the black.

Not that we are so surprised to hear it – Nokia said it will be coming back to the MWC after missing out the previous two years and it was only logical they will have some new devices on show this year. Plus, the company is scheduled to hold a press conference on the first day of MWC and if there are no new announcements there will be hardly anything worth talking about there.

Expectations are Nokia will unveil an international version of its Lumia 900 WP smartphone. The device debuted at CES last month as an AT&T US exclusive, but it would be surprising if it retains that status for too long.

There’s also an outside chance Nokia will launch its first tablet, but we wouldn’t get our hopes too high about that.

Well, we’ll find out soon enough. Naturally, we will be on site covering the Nokia press conference for you and feeding you lots of photos, videos and first-hand impressions of whatever smartphone the Finns announce.

UK online store Unlocked Mobiles has the LG Prada 3.0 for £424.98, whileClove sells it for £429.99. You can tell that LG have been pricing the phone and not Prada.

Moreover, considering that the Prada Phone 3.0 sports a 4.3-inch 480×800 touchscreen, 1GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of built in storage, the price isn’t all that bad. And you know, bragging about your new Prada smartphone is worth every quid.

The rest of the specs aren’t official yet but we have heard it will have a 1024 x 768 resolution display, a 1.5GHz, dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 1GB of RAM, 8 megapixel camera, 8GB internal memory, NFC and (sadly) Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

It’s unclear at this point whether the device will be limited to the Korean market or if we will see it elsewhere as well.

Presentation aside, the first thing we noticed was Alec’s awesome t-shirt. Bright red with white lettering, the slogan reads “Keep Calm and Be Bold”. Longtime readers of CrackBerry know we have a thing around here with wearing custom made BlackBerry shirts. We’re loving that Alec is following the CrackBerry lead here. And like CrackBerry Kevin and his Sexy and You Know it Workout, RIM’s VP of Developer Relations is leading by example and Being Bold, as demonstrated by his DevCon Keynote shirt! So, ya know, you could say something nice about your sweetie, something about along romantic dinner, maybe a walk through the park. Or we could well see sordid tales from the Red Light District. Because this is, after all, the Internet.

Judging by the icon placement, location, date, time and background, it looks like these images come from the same original source as last week’s leaked video. However, unlike the video, these are of (reasonably) decent quality, showing off the chassis of the phone and HTC Sense4.0′s redesigned, geometric stylings.

Today’s photos seem to confirm that version 4.0 will give HTC Sense it’s biggest visual overhaul yet. The classic Sense dock is gone, replaced with ICS-style icons. And the iconic clock widget had undergone a few changes too, with more clean lines and less translucency. The lockscreen, however, seems to be more or less unchanged from Sense 3.x — you’ve still got the familiar metal ring and four shortcuts. And in terms of industrial design, it’s clear we’re looking at a pretty thin device, with what seems to be slightly raised areas at the top and bottom of the back panel.
